Here are just a few of logo designs that I have developed over the years. Some of them have been in use in public, some for internal or pitch purposes.
GRAPHICS
Graphics Overview
A brief overview of my graphic and motion graphics design for various projects. Explore individual projects in the Graphics section of the portfolio.
Art of 2010 Olympic Closing
Made in Canada segment of the Closing Ceremony featured Canadian ephemera, souvenirs, symbols but BIG… and loud. Yes, these are all “beloved” Canadian stereotypes in Vegas/Monty Python kind of fusion. I did the design, directing (with choreography team) and a part of animation of the projected media for this segment that featured Michael Buble as star performer.
Most of the animation is done by Simon Piniel, additional artwork from Cyril Meusy, Elli Bunton and Kevin McAllister.
2010 Opening Book
I am glad I was given a chance to design the Vancouver 2010 Opening Ceremony Program Book. The book is printed in black only with about a dozen spreads in black and silver. The motifs of each spread are graphically abstracted versions of any given segments, inspired by either the mood or the story of the segment itself, as well as the quotes, narrated during the show by Donald Sutherland. Two distinct graphical look serve, first, Protocol part (shallow relief, impasto painting with white/grey paint on white canvas) and second Cultural part of the show (futuristic mystical 3D strokes printed in black and silver ink)
End papers of the book served to connect the book’s styles with VANOC’s core fusion.

Water package concept
Package concept for upscale spring water. Rendered in Photoshop. First Nations’ designs are quick and free interpretation of West Coast First Nations art, that was eventually supposed to be replaced with more authentic designs. Unfortunately, this is a non realized project so the designs are not completed.
